Opportunities for Students to Participate, Posters, and Volunteers

Graduate Student Attendance and Poster Session at EESD15

The 7th International Conference on Engineering Education for Sustainable Development (EESD15) will be held on the UBC Vancouver campus June 9 – 12, 2015. The theme is: “Cultivating the T-Shaped Engineer”.

Both STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and non-STEM students are welcome to attend the conference. The conference will include an optional Graduate Student Poster Session during which both non-STEM and STEM students working on research in a sustainability area are invited to share their investigations.

The student registration fee is $210.00, including tax. There is no extra charge for participating in the student poster session, however students interested in this special session need to indicate their interest at the time they register for the conference.

Registration for both the conference and the poster session will be available in February 2015 at: https://eesd15.engineering.ubc.ca/registration/

Conference Volunteers

The conference welcomes students to volunteer to help with running the conference.  Volunteers will take on various duties to provide assistance to delegates and help the conference to run smoothly, and, were possible, will have an opportunity to participate in conference activities and interact with delegates.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the volunteer coordinator, Amir Shoolestani at amirsh@civil.ubc.ca.
